Gyeonggi-do is home to 30% (370,000) of South Korea's startups and the province is striving to go beyond its title as the number one in the country and create a “paradise for startups.”
By 2026, the province plans to launch an additional 660,000 m2 (200,000 ft2) of startup space centered around Pangyo Techno Valley to help foster 3,000 venture startups (sprouting companies).
Gyeonggi-do is a true center of innovation, and Pangyo Techno Valley in particular, with its advanced technology and infrastructure, is building a startup ecosystem filled with abundant talent and investors.
Gyeonggi strives to create an environment where anyone can start a business and get funding.

The Gyeonggi-do Business Science Agency (GBSA), provides strong support for small and medium-sized venture companies by creating a world-class startup ecosystem, fostering deep tech, and promoting global expansion.
The Gyeonggi-do Business Science Agency (GBSA) has been supporting SMEs throughout their growth process, from seed to global expansion.
In particular, it is working to create a startup ecosystem by fostering startups in the deep tech sector and helping local startups go global.
GBSA also supports inbound startups coming to Korea through the Pangyo+20 program. This program fosters entrepreneurial talent by operating the Opportunity Gyeonggi Startup School, and helps attract investment through the creation of a startup fund.
